Yedingham Rd ~ Emergency works

You'll have seen that Yedingham Road is closed.

Here's the text of the notification the Council received from North Yorks Council: -

Good afternoon,

We are presently undertaking drainage works along the B1258 West Knapton to Snainton Road. During these works, we have identified that an existing culvert pipe has collapsed under the road, and we need to undertake an immediate repair under an emergency closure to safeguard the integrity of the carriageway. It is anticipated the road will be closed from Thursday 12th Feb and will re-open Monday 16th Feb. During this period, all traffic will be diverted via the signed diversion route. A diversion plan has been attached for your information.

                The Diversion is through Allerston.        Diversion Plan is on the Noticeboard

I apologise for the short notice of this closure, but I hope you can appreciate that the collapse culvert was unforeseen.
